Session #8 Taking prisoners.

    A small party of fighting men set forth from the Coney with plans to investigate the ruined place of worship recently discovered below the main floor of the hidden city. Stick-Bite and Worm-eater are still absent.

  • Orlo the fine - Human fighter 1
    • Aaron - Human bard 1
  • Shmelf the Elf - Elf fighter/magic user 1/1
  • Andro Buthidae - Mongrel-folk fighter 1

    • Greta Von Suss - Mongrel-folk paladin 1

 

    The party hastened their way through the first floor past priests and infected beggars stopping only to rest and investigate dead ends. Below the city, the party dives deeper into the complex to what appears to be a holy place, its significance lost to time and its rooms repurposed by ne'er do wells.

    While the party was resting in a recently occupied barrack and collecting intimate garments, they were discovered by sentries and forced into a fracas. Aaron the bard suffered a broken leg during the scrap and the party was nearly overcome by the guards. The party had shown the foresight to buy a couple of Dierdre's beignets which gave them the strength to continue on. 

    Leaving Greta to watch over the lamed Aaron and the bound guard taken prisoner, the party broke off and crept through a series of cave until they spotted light and heard the voices of a larger party. After much deliberation they decided to confront them and followed the party which turned out to be smugglers hauling loot. Shmelf the Elf was able to ensorcle the leader, Captain Redeyes, with an enchantment before any hostilities broke out. 

    With the Captain charmed, they learned a bit about the operations of the smugglers. Most notably, they were directed to another point of entry into this area, hidden just below the waterline in the harbor. 

     They party returned to the Coney, dripping wet and looking worse for wear.

Recovered and sold treasure:

  • 60 gp

 Other EXP = bonus 100 for discovering a new entrance below the city.


EXP split for each player = 148 per player

Treasure split for each player = 15 gp per player
