Sessions #6 Maiden Voyages

        

    A party of adventurers assemble at the Black Coney. With the recent acquisitions of 1 looted and 1 purchased canoe (the SS Cozonie) they head to a known entrance to the hidden city and plan to explore the channels therein.

    After sketching and consulting the diagram of white lines found on a stone slab before, the party uses this makeshift map of lines to find their way through the watery tunnels and ends up in a distant section of the underground. The water here is murky with silt, an improvement over the sewage before.

    Their first encounter was a giant, half submerged head in the water and its attendant. Next, they explored a narrow underwater passage and retrieved a helmet and amulet later determined to be enchanted. After a period of rest and claw-grafting they continued exploring. 

    The party opened a set of double doors to find a scene of fungal infestation. Grey slimy mold streaked with red and purple strands with dripping ichor covered a room that had a trio of mushy-men, well camouflaged for their enviornment. A large mass of whistling fungus gently swayed and breathed in the spore-laden air of this room, surrounded by a magic circle.

    After later running from a group of skeletons, disturbed from their rest, the party encountered a fat carcass crawler that paralyzed Shmelf the elf before being heroicly slain by the fearless hirelings Sitck-Bite and Worm-eater. The giant worm burst open with un-digested coins, more than the party could carry on their way out and towards home.

  • 1 giant crab 35xp
  • 3 mushmen 75xp
  • 1 carcass crawler 75xp

Recovered and sold treasure:

  • 3 gems from a darin hole = 650gp
  • 5,000 silver from inside a bloated carcass crawler = 500 gp

 Other EXP = bonus 100 for discovering a new area.

Other treasure: a magical helmet and amulet from a submerged passage, unclaimed.

EXP split for each player = 440 xp
